Because I live near KY's Red River Gorge, a premier climbing destination, rope tricks are always welcome and the black/sport rope trick fits in--it does resemble a piece of old climbing rope. Performing the effect is quick and easy. A little flick of your wrist and the rope goes from soft and flexible to taut and stiff. It is always good for a laugh while climbing--especially with us old guys (and that's only because we think that we know every rope trick out there)! Still, it is great for any audience, but I keep this one with my climbing gear. Great fun!
